The Antigo Police Department is implementing a program to assist individuals or families with special needs to get pertinent information or conditions to Law Enforcement before we may have contact with the individual. We feel that the program will also greatly assist our fire and ambulance service if they are ever in need of those types of emergency services.
The program is a voluntary registry of information provided by an individual or families that have concerns about either someone with special needs or special assistance that would benefit from giving Law Enforcement and EMS prior knowledge about how best to deal with their loved one.
We are hoping families with Autistic or Asperger’s Syndrome children, adults with Alzheimer’s, or anyone with a special needs condition will give us information on how best we may interact and handle a situation involving their loved one.
A link to the form can be found here: SPECIAL NEEDS FORM The information supplied is completely voluntary and kept confidential. The more information we receive the better chance we have of making a positive interaction with an individual. Once completed, the form can be returned to the Antigo Police Department and will be maintained with our records for our responders to effectively and appropriately respond to someone in need.
We appreciate anyone with concerns or questions to contact us to see how we can help.
