Pay BillTAXES
Important Note for Tax Receipts:
- If you would like a receipt for payment on your property taxes, please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope along with your payment stub and check.
- If paying in person, a receipt will be provided upon payment.
- If your escrow company is sending payment on your taxes, a receipt is available in our office.
- Plan AHEAD for Tax Payments
- The U.S. Postal Service has made a MAJOR change to how mail is postmarked, and this could affect your tax payments and other time-sensitive mail. What’s changing?
- Starting August 2025, most letters will no longer be postmarked the day they are dropped off at your local post office. Instead, they will be postmarked the next day when processed at a regional mail facility. What does this mean for you?
- Mail sent Monday–Friday at a local post office will likely show a postmark one day later.
- Mail sent on Saturday won’t be processed until Monday, so the postmark could be two days later.
- If Monday is a holiday, the delay could be three days.
- This is important because many laws rely on the postmark date as proof of mailing.
- If you’re sending tax payments or other time-sensitive documents, mail early to avoid penalties.

DIRECT SELLERS/TRANSIENT MERCHANT PERMIT
In accordance with City of Antigo Ordinance No. 1387B (amending Sections 18-227 through 18-234 of the Municipal Code), all visiting merchants, direct sellers, and charitable solicitors are required to obtain a permit before conducting sales or solicitation activities. These regulations ensure that all transient commercial operations within the city are properly registered and compliant with local law.
Download the Permit Application or visit our office to complete one in person.
Permits are issued on an annual basis, valid from January 1 through December 31. Because the final approval process involves administrative review and can take up to five business days, applicants are encouraged to submit their paperwork well in advance of their intended start date.
DOG LICENSES
Dog licenses are due by March 31st each year. You can begin licensing your dog for the new year in mid-December with many people renewing the license when they pay their property taxes.
- Spayed/neutered dog licenses are $6.00 and non-spayed/neutered dogs are $16.00.
- You will need to provide a current rabies vaccination certificate unless the information we have on file is current.
- The late fee for licensing after March 31st is $5.00 (unless you have had the dog 30 days or less or the dog is too young to be vaccinated).
